Celebrating Small Business Week with Resources and Workshops

The West Monroe West Ouachita Chamber of Commerce and the Louisiana Small Business Development Center show appreciation to local small businesses.

Owning and operating a small business can be challenging. In an effort to both help local businesses navigate these challenges and to celebrate Small Business Week, the West Monroe West Ouachita Chamber of commerce is teaming up with the Louisiana Small Business Development Center.

The two organizations are offering information, workshops, and resources to open to nearly 7,000 local business owners throughout the month of May.

WMWO Chamber President Courtney Hornsby explains "We understand that small businesses bring such a value to our community in terms of the jobs they employ, and the economic impact they have in our region. So, it just made sense for us to partner up with the LSBDC here at ULM because the are in that business everyday, and they know the struggles that small businesses go through."

Workshop topics include starting a small business, growth, marketing, and employee issues. More information is avaialable from the West Monroe West Ouachita Chamber of Commerce's website, 325-1961, or the Facebook page. You can also visit the Louisiana Small Business Development Center's website, call 342-1224, or check its Facebook page.
