When Christmas Ends, Recycling Begins

Ouachita Green
Ouachita Green: Keeping Our Community Green & Clean

Ouachita Green's vision of keeping the community Green and Clean continues as they get ready for their Christmas Tree Recycling event. This service to the community will last from December 26 to January 6.

The Christmas spirit is all about giving back. Through recycling live trees instead of throwing them away, one can give back to their community and environment. Recycling the trees also lightens the load of sanitation companies and keeps the trees out of landfills.

Ouachita Green asks that the trees be removed of any ornaments, tinsels, lights, or other accessories, and that they are not wrapped in plastic or wire. They will have two stations set up with wood chippers provided by Munholland Tree Service, one at the Monroe Civic Center's north parking lot and the other at the West Monroe Farmer's Market.

More information about Ouachita Green's mission and about Christmas Tree Recycling opportunities can be found here.
