Saturday April 29th, the Northeast American Red Cross will celebrate its 100th anniversary with its 20th annual Red Cross Bash. This event will be held from 7:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. at The Monroe Regional Airport Hangar 9.
The Red Cross Bash raises most of the money for the whole year for the local Red Cross. All of the money goes back into the community through blood drives, military support, and helping families who have suffered from house fires. Amanda Wimberly, head of the Bash, shared that, "the Red Cross helped more than 5,200 families last year who had gone through a house fire."
The Bash will inlcude music, food, drinks, and a live auction. Live music will be supplied by Flaming Asburys and Lisa Spann. Food will be provided by Outback Steakhouse, and there will be a full bar. The silent auction will take place throughout the night and includes two autographed guitars, trips, and sports packages among other things.
General admission for the event is $50. More information on the American Red Cross Bash can be found here.
