Waitr App Debuts In Monroe July 13, Expects 150 New Jobs

Waitr will begin service on July 13.

The restaurant on-demand platform Waitr debuts in the city of Monroe July 13. The app lets customers order food and have it delivered for a small fee. TheWaitr app has proven to be wildly popular in cities across the Gulf States, including multiple locations throughout Louisiana.

“Our decision to choose Monroe as our next market is a reflection of overwhelming public demand for Waitr in the area,” said Addison Killebrew, Launch Director for Waitr. “The Monroe community and restaurant owners saw the excitement and success of our food delivery service starting in Lake Charles, then moving all over the state into Lafayette, Baton Rouge, New Orleans, Alexandria and Shreveport. We’re thrilled we can now meet that demand here.”

The company says they expect to employ up to 150 people in the Monroe area.

Dozens of Monroe restaurants have signed on to Waitr and more are expected to be added in the coming weeks. The company currently delivers in 100 cities.
