Firefighter recruits graduating this week.

The City of Monroe is pleased to announce our 12th Fire Academy Recruit Graduation. This class is called the Bravehearts. The graduation ceremony will take place 6 pm Thursday, November 16, 2017 at the Monroe Public Safety Center, located at 1810 Martin Luther King, Jr. Drive, Monroe, LA 71202. The guest speaker is retired Fire Chief Jimmie Bryant.

The Bravehearts have completed 16 weeks of training in firefighting, search and rescue, vehicle extrication, hazardous material, and first responder. They will now begin their firefighter probationary period. Each recruit will rotate through all Monroe Fire Department’s training stations until they are confirmed as firefighters.
