KEDM has been named as a finalist for multiple awards in the Louisiana-Mississippi Associated Press Broadcasters and Media Editors contest.

"Best News Anchor" in Louisiana - Mississippi. The award recogonizes a composite of  "Live" work by a broadcast news anchor.

KEDM’s Cory Crowe and Jay Curtis are finalist in the "Breaking News" category for coverage of the April 2018 tornado outbreak.

Kelby Ouchley, Josh Madden, and Ashish Dev are finalist for the Bayou Diversity series. It has been recognized for "Best Podcast." 

KEDM was also named a finalist for "Best Digital Presence."  The new award judges stations websites, social media feeds and apps. Stations were judged on digital presentation and inovation showcasing local content.

The winners in each division will be named at the Louisiana-Mississippi AP Broadcasters and Media Editors awards on Saturday, April 6, 2018 at Two Mississippi Museums in Jackson, Mississippi. There were 1260 entries in the Louisiana-Mississippi contest.

KEDM is a public service of The University of Louisiana Monroe; broadcasting NPR News, classical music, jazz, and other entertainment from studios in Sandel Hall. The station relies on funding from listeners, local businesses, ULM, and the Corporation for Public Broadcasting.
