This year's Southern Living's Christmas Cookbook just hit shelves at Dillard's-Monroe in the mall to raise money for those less-fortunate during the holiday season. All proceeds of the book sales will be donated by the store and Southern Living to The Ronald McDonald House that works with children and families affected by chronic illness.
The Ronald McDonald House (RMHC) is a national non-profit dedicated to creating, finding, and supporting programs that directly improve the health of and well-being of children and their families that are hospitalized long-term. Some of the group's activities include providing medical and dental care, helping families stay close to their children as they move for medical facilities, and connecting them to critical health services. The donations from these cookbooks allow the organization and its local chapters to continue their aid of these families in the future.
The Monroe chapter of RMHC had a sneak-peek of the exclusive cookbook before it officially went on sale. Georgia Street, a representative of RMHC, was ecstatic after seeing this year's edition. She says, "This year, the cookbook has some amazing new features like menu planning, a collection of recipes for a full Christmas dinner, and even a section dedicated to decorating your very own Christmas Tree."
The Southern Living Christmas Cookbook is on sale now at Dilliard's for $12 and will be available throughout the holiday season. For more information about the cookbook, click here.
