The Louisiana Purchase will have 400 new residents soon. 400 budgies will be delivered to a new exhibit at the zoo. They will be released into their new home this afternoon.
Dr. Jeb Andrews and his wife, Nancy, major financial contributors to the exhibit, will have the special honor of releasing the budgies into their new home.
The birds will be on exhibit Friday, August 20, 2021, to the public. The walk-in portion of the attraction is expected to open mid-September.
