Around 200 evacuees from St. John the Baptist Parish arrived last night at the Monroe Civic Center. The evacuees were tested for COVID-19 and processed at the Civic Center. They will be housed at the Marbles and Johnson Community Centers. The centers will be closed to the public.
The City of Monroe is currently housing 342 evacuees.
Donations can be made at the United Way of Northeast Louisiana located at 1201 Hudson Lane, Monroe, LA. Please do not bring donations to the Monroe Civic Center.
