The Kiwanis Club of Greater Ouachita hosts its 66th Annual Pancake Day on Tuesday, November 9. This year’s Pancake Day will be held from 6:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. at First Methodist Monroe at 3900 Loop Road in Monroe.
Tickets are $8 each, and delivery is optional for large orders. According to the Kiwanis Club, funds raised from Pancake Day are used to enrich the lives of children and those in need in Ouachita Parish and Northeast Louisiana. In the past, funds have allowed the club to sponsor K-Kids at Highland Elementary, Builder’s Club at River Oaks, Key Clubs at Neville and West Monroe High Schools and Circle K at ULM. Additionally, the club has awarded bicycles as part of the “Bikes for Books” program at Ouachita Parish Library, scholarships to Key Club and Circle K seniors and several other projects that directly impact the lives of children in this area.
90.3 KEDM Public Radio will host Morning Edition live beginning at 6 a.m. at Pancake Day.
