Jeremy Jones, a recent graduate of Ouachita Parish High School, is the first recipient of the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Louisiana's “Start Something” Scholarship.
Jeremy is a participant of the Big Brothers Big Sisters program, having completed the Civic Engagement Institute for Youth and BBBS’ Chase Leadership Academy.
Jones, along with family members, celebrated his achievement Thursday, May 28th, as he was presented with a certificate awarding him a one-time scholarship of $1,000, to help him meet his educational goals. Jeremy plans to attend ULM this fall where he will major in pharmacy.
