MONROE, La. – Keep ULM Beautiful is hosting Campus Clean-ups as part of Love the Boot Week 2025, Louisiana’s largest litter cleanup and beautification event. Faculty, staff, and students are invited to join the effort on Friday, April 4, and Saturday, April 5, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. each day. The clean-ups will begin at the Library Overhang, located closest to Scott Plaza (the ULM fountain).
Participants can choose to volunteer on one or both days to help pick up and sort recyclable litter. Organizers will provide all necessary supplies, including buckets, bags, vests, grabbers, and gloves. Some supplies are limited, so attendees are encouraged to show up early. After the clean-up, volunteers will complete a litter survey to collect data on the types of litter found and the areas in which it was located.
participants may register to volunteer at https://calendly.com/hardee/kulmb-love-the-boot-2025. University students wishing to participate must track their attendance and completion of the event through Wingspan, allowing them to earn community service hours for RSOs or classes.
