Monroe-West Monroe, LA – The Louisiana Association of Museums (LAM) will host their annual meeting and conference September 11-13 in Monroe. This conference will bring together museum professionals from across the state to share ideas and network. This conference will have sessions and events at Biedenharn Museum & Gardens, Northeast Louisiana Children’s Museum, Northeast Louisiana Delta African American Museum, and Chennault Aviation & Military Museum.
An awards luncheon will also be held to honor professionals who demonstrated significant support for the programs, goals, & policies of a Louisiana museum. This ceremony will take place September 12th at the Northeast Louisiana Children’s Museum.
Dr. Diana Greenlee will serve as the keynote speaker for the annual meeting and awards luncheon. She works as the Station Archaeologist at the Poverty Point World Heritage Site (WHS) and an Adjunct Professor of Archaeology in the School of Sciences at the University of Louisiana at Monroe (ULM).
