Discover Monroe-West Monroe will host its 2nd annual Monroe-West Monroe Pumpkin Decorating Contest during the month of October.
Participants are asked to decorate their pumpkin with a Monroe-West Monroe theme. They are encouraged to highlight the great things about Ouachita Parish. They may paint, carve, or decorate their pumpkin. A heron template is also available for download below.
There will be five divisions: Ages 0-6, 7-12, 13-17, 18 and older, and businesses/organizations. Winners will receive Monroe-West Monroe swag items and passes to local attractions. There will be a first and second place winner for each division.
Everyone who turns in a pumpkin will receive a small prize.
Participants can bring their pumpkin to the Discover Monroe-West Monroe Visitors Center located at 601 Constitution Drive in West Monroe starting October 3-24. Discover Monroe-West Monroe is open Monday - Friday 8 am - 5 pm. Winners will be announced October 26.
