The Princess Theatre in Winnsboro is presenting Mary Poppins August 10-13. "Mary Poppins" is a beloved musical based on the books by P.L. Travers and the classic Walt Disney film. It ran for over 2,500 performances on Broadway and was nominated for nine Olivier and seven Tony Awards, including Best Musical.
The story follows the Banks family in 1910 England, who are taught by Mary Poppins to value each other through magical adventures. Even adults can learn from her wise advice that "Anything can happen if you let it."The Princess production of Mary Poppins is a big undertaking. A cast of 68 will take to the Princess stage for the musical.
