Strauss Youth Academy for the Arts performs The Music Man JR. September 22 through October 1. The musical, based on Merideth Willson's award-winning musical comedy, follows the story of Harold Hill, a traveling salesman who tricks the people of River City, Iowa into buying instruments for a band that doesn't exist yet.
Performances will be held at Strauss Youth Academy, 1300 1\2 Lamy Lane. Performances are September 22 at 7 p.m., September 23 at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m., September 24 at 3 p.m., then the following weekend September 29 at 7 p.m., September 30 at 2 and 7 p.m., and October 1 at 3 p.m. Tickets for adults tickets are $18 and student tickets are $12.
