The University of Louisiana at Monroe's homecoming week is approaching and is set to include three special events hosted by the ULM Department of Alumni Affairs.
The first of these events is ULM's Golden Society Dinner. The dinner is an opportunity for ULM to recognize its alumni celebrating the 50 year anniversary of their graduation. These alumni will have the chance to eat dinner with ULM President Ron Berry, and will also be presented alumni various alumni awards including an updated diploma and commemorative pin. The event is open to all and tickets can be purchased online for $25. Dinner is at 6p.m. at Bayou Pointe, 1 Warhawk Way, Monroe on Friday, October 27.
Also on Friday, October 27 will be a happy hour for ULM's Greek alumni. Who will have the opportunity to enjoy an open bar from 7 to 8p.m. at its new location, the Fant Ewing Coliseum. This event will be free for Greek alumni. Following the happy hour, ULM's fraternities and sororities present the NPHC Homecoming Step Show, where members will step, dance, and cheer. This event will also be held in the Fant Ewing Coliseum and the doors open at 8p.m. There are multiple ticket packages that are available online.
Finally, there will be a Good Morning Gala on Saturday, October 28 from 10a.m. to 12p.m. in the Bayou Pointe Event Center. This will be an alumni awards breakfast honoring the recipients of several awards including the Rising Young Alumni award and the Golden Arrow Award as well as a winner of the George T. Walker Lifetime Achievement Award. Breakfast will include mimosas, bloody marys and a DJ as well as the introduction of the 2023 Homecoming Court.
