The City of West Monroe and Kiroli Foundation are gearing up for the holiday season with their annual Christmas at Kiroli activities. The public is invited to join in the festivities at Kiroli Park and Christmas at Kiroli Holiday Kick-Off Celebration on Monday, November 20th. The event will begin at 3 p.m. and admission to Kiroli Park will be free for the day.
The celebration will include a tour of the newly-renovated Kiroli Park Lodge with a ribbon cutting at 3:30 p.m. Light refreshments will be served and musical entertainment will be provided from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. The official turning on of the Christmas lights at Kiroli Park will take place at 5:30 p.m. on November 20th at the Kiroli Park Bandstand, followed by a free concert featuring the ULM Brass Band.
The drive-thru Christmas lights display at Kiroli Park will open to the public on Friday, November 24th from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and will be open every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. until December 25th. Beginning on Thursday, December 14th, Christmas at Kiroli will be open Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays until Christmas Day.
The cost to drive through the park is $10 per vehicle or $20 for a commercial vehicle. Season passes can be purchased for $30. Tickets are available for purchase online at www.christmasatkiroli.com.
On Sunday, December 10th from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., Christmas at Kiroli will also host “Santa in the Park” sponsored by Louisiana Pain Care. The event will feature visits with Santa and Mrs. Claus, live entertainment, arts and crafts activities, fun events for children, and food trucks. Regular park admission will apply. In the event of inclement weather, Santa in the Park will move to Sunday, December 17th.
