The City of Monroe invites business owners, entrepreneurs, and individuals with a passion for fostering economic growth in the 165 North Corridor and the I-20 East Corridor to a Small Business Meet & Greet. A meeting has been scheduled for November 30 at 9 AM at the Clarke M. Williams Innovation Campus. This meeting aims to bring together stakeholders and community members interested in discussing opportunities and initiatives that will contribute to the growth of existing businesses while creating pathways for new ventures within the city.

Participants will have the opportunity to learn from successful entrepreneurs who have thrived in the Monroe business landscape by networking and fostering valuable connections for their own businesses.

A resource team from the Louisiana Economic Development (LED) will be in attendance to initiate conversations and gather ideas during the community assessment phase of the Development Ready Community process. Their aim is to understand the city and communities’ vision for economic development, seeking feedback to formulate the most effective plan going forward.

Join us for a morning of information, inspiration, and collaboration as we collectively work towards making Monroe a Louisiana Economic Development Ready Community.

Keynote Speakers:

  • Mayor Friday Ellis, Mayor of Monroe
  • Dr. Ron Berry, President of ULM
  • Stacey Duvic, Senior Director, Community Competitiveness of LA Economic Development (LED)
  • City of Monroe Economic Development Team
