KEDM Policy and a Pint met to discuss downtown development in Monroe with local government officials, business owners, and downtown stakeholders. We learned about and current plans, upcoming developments, job creation and nightlife.

The event was held at Flying Tiger Brewery, 506 N. 2nd Street, Monroe, Louisiana. The open public forum was moderated by KEDM News and Public Affairs Director Cory Crowe.

Panelist included Rico Holmes, Head Mechanix Co-Owner, Roy Heatherly, C.E.O. Monroe Chamber of Commerce, and Kelsea McCrary, Chief Cultural Officer City of Monroe.

Originally from Monroe, Cory has worked in a variety of media. He has worked in television news and spent seven years as a TV sports play-by-play announcer. He was also creative director for a television advertising department and worked extensively as a photojournalist. Cory has lived in both Dallas and New Orleans.
