The musical Annie comes to Ruston

Ruston Community Theatre is presenting the musical Annie, June 20-23 at the Dixie Center for the Arts in downtown Ruston. The show features Annie, an orphan, and her hijinks at the orphanage and her attempt to find a permanent home and get away from the evil house mother Miss Hannigan. She lives in luxury with billionaire Oliver Warbucks and hopes her parents will return to claim her.

The show features a cast of mostly students under age 18. There is a live orchestra of local musicians, elaborate sets and props.

Melissa Le, Mia Le, and Dr. Steele Moegle discuss the show and its musical hits.
