Boo at the Zoo & Historic Haunts offer spooky fun

Monroe will be alive with spooky fun this Halloween season. The fun begins at the annual Boo at the Zoo on Saturday, October 26 at the Louisiana Purchase Gardens & Zoo. The annual children's event features costumes, candy, and animals. A new event called Historic Haunts is on All Souls Day, Nov. 2 . The 1920's theme events looks at paranormal activity at the Masur Museum, Layton Castle, and the Cooley House. The party goes will learn about the rich history of these buildings and the occupants who lived there.

Originally from Monroe, Cory has worked in a variety of media. He has worked in television news and spent seven years as a TV sports play-by-play announcer. He was also creative director for a television advertising department and worked extensively as a photojournalist. Cory has lived in both Dallas and New Orleans.
