Mardi Gras bead recycling available in West Monroe this carnival season

The City of West Monroe and Keep West Monroe Beautiful are partnering for the second year in a row to make available places to recycle Mardi Gras beads this carnival season. Decorated bins are available in multiple locations in West Monroe for the public to recycle Mardi Gras beads they no longer want.

Bins are located at:
• Alley Park in Downtown West Monroe
• The West Monroe Recycling Center
• West Monroe City Hall

Beads will be collected through March 5. Recycled beads will be donated to Ouachita Parish 4-H for use in some of their special projects and events.

For more information about Mardi Gras bead recycling, please contact the Mayor’s Office at (318) 396-2600 or email mayorsoffice@westmonroe.la.gov
