The Center for Children & Families is proud to announce the upcoming two-day Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) workshop to be held on February 6th and 7th, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM at First West - West Monroe Campus (311 Mill Street, West Monroe, LA).
This workshop will equip caregivers, child welfare workers, foster parents, teachers, counselors, and other professionals with practical strategies and tools to support children who have experienced trauma, including maltreatment, abuse, and neglect. The workshop offers 12 hours of continuing education units (CEUs), which are approved for social workers, LPCs, foster parents, and ADRA. Lunch will be provided both days, and special rates are available, including free registration for foster families.
“This model has changed how I interact with and parent my own children,” said Dr. Emily Jones, Clinical Director at The Center for Children & Families and lead facilitator of the TBRI training.
TBRI is based on years of research and is widely recognized for its holistic, multidisciplinary approach to supporting children in need. The training will also offer opportunities for follow-up intensives, diving deeper into each of the three core TBRI principles.
This event is designed for anyone who works with children who have experienced trauma, including professionals in child welfare, foster care, education, and community services.
