City of Monroe announces groundbreaking ceremony for Barbados Boulevard pavement & drainage repair project

(Monroe, LA) - The City of Monroe invites the public to the groundbreaking ceremony for the Barbados Blvd. Pavement & Drainage Repair Project, set to take place on February 18, 2025, at 3:00 PM. The event will be held at 3702 Barbados Boulevard, near the Monroe Fire Station and River Oaks Playground.

This critical infrastructure project will address long-standing pavement and drainage issues along Barbados Blvd., improving safety, accessibility, and quality of life for residents and visitors alike. The project is a key part of the city’s ongoing commitment to enhancing public infrastructure and ensuring the sustainability of its roadways.

The Barbados Blvd. Pavement & Drainage Repair Project will include pavement repair, drainage system upgrades, and related improvements to ensure long-term durability and functionality.
