MONROE, LA – The ULM TRIO Reginald F. Lewis Scholars had the unique opportunity to visit the Clinton School of Public Service and the William H. Bowen School of Law, both part of the University of Arkansas at Little Rock on December 6-7, 2024. In addition to touring the graduate programs, scholars attended the 20th anniversary celebration of the Clinton School of Public Service, where they had the rare privilege of hearing speeches by former President Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton.
Reflecting on the experience, ULM junior and Reginald F. Lewis Scholar Myles Goldman shared, "I am incredibly grateful for this visit. The law center is now at the top of my list for law school. We learned so much about mentoring opportunities and other resources that make this program an ideal fit for me."
Braxton Jackson, a ULM senior and fellow Reginald F. Lewis Scholar, described the trip as transformative: "My experience at the Clinton School was truly unforgettable. Touring the William H. Bowen School of Law deepened my understanding of the connection between education and public service, while attending the 20th anniversary celebration at the Clinton Center was an incredible honor. Seeing President Bill Clinton and Secretary Hillary Clinton in person made the moment even more special. Witnessing their enduring commitment to leadership and global progress further inspired my desire to contribute to positive change."
