Exciting summer job opportunities now open for students at Monroe community centers and pools

(Monroe, LA) - The City of Monroe announces its Summer Job Program, offering students the chance to earn money and gain valuable job experience. This six-week program will hire students to work at six of our community centers and two pools located at Henrietta Johnson and Marbles Community Center.

Program Details:

  • Mandatory Orientation: May 30, 2025, at 8:00 AM
  • Work Period: June 2, 2025 - July 11, 2025
  • Work Hours: 16 hours per week
  • Age Requirement: 16-23 years old
  • Working with children ages 5-12

Lifeguard Job Positions:

  • Age Requirement: Must be 16 years or older
  • Extended Pool Division Work Period: June 2, 2025 - August 1, 2025
  • Mandatory Orientation: May 30, 2025, at 8:00 AM
  • Certification Required
