The Center for Children & Families rallies the community for National Child Abuse Prevention Month

The event will feature Mayor Friday Ellis of Monroe and Mayor Staci Mitchell of West Monroe as they present a joint mayoral proclamation, officially declaring April as Child Abuse Prevention Month in our community. Their united voices will set the stage for a month of awareness, advocacy, and hope. The event will also honor outstanding community members who have devoted their lives to protecting children, supporting families, and working tirelessly to prevent child abuse.

The Stand for Hope Together event will provide an opportunity for individuals and organizations to unite in support of this noble cause and take meaningful steps toward a brighter future for the children in our community.

“Together, we can stand for hope in three powerful ways,” said Chris Ramsey, Chief Operating Officer at The Center for Children & Families. “We can learn to recognize the signs of abuse and understand how to report it; we can volunteer as child advocates with the CASA program, and we can give generously to ensure the essential services provided by The Center continue to make a lasting impact.”

This event will take place on April 3rd from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM at The Center for Children & Families located at 622 Riverside Drive, Monroe, LA.
