...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT FROM FRIDAY MORNING UNTIL FURTHER
NOTICE...

* WHAT...Major flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...Ouachita River at Monroe.

* WHEN...From Friday morning until further notice.

* IMPACTS...At 45.0 feet, The Prairon Bayou recreational area floods
and closes. Lowland flooding becomes extensive at this stage
between levees.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 7:00 PM CDT Sunday the stage was 31.6 feet.
- Bankfull stage is 40.0 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
late Friday morning and continue rising to 45.0 feet Tuesday,
April 22. Additional rises are possible thereafter.
- Flood stage is 40.0 feet.
- Flood History...This crest compares to a previous crest of
44.9 feet on 03/26/1903.
