The basketball postseason begins tonight for area universities. Louisiana Tech hosts Central Michigan in the National Invitational Tournament at the Thomas Assembly Center.
It's the second straight year the Bulldogs have hosted a postseason game.
The University of Louisiana at Monroe welcomes Eastern Michigan to Fant-Ewing Coliseum Wednesday night. The Warhawks entry in the CBI Tournament marks the end of 19 seasons without a postseason appearance for ULM.
The CBI Tournament, which began in 2008, consists of a 16-team field. The format is single elimination until the finals. The championship is determined in a two-out-of-three series.
