A veteran West Baton Rouge Parish sheriff's deputy is among three people killed in a shooting in Pointe Coupee Parish.
Pointe Coupee Sheriff Bud Torres says it happened about 4 p.m. Tuesday at a home in Glynn, Louisiana.
Torres says the deputy and her daughter were killed in the shooting, as was the suspected shooter - an estranged neighbor.
The deputy was the wife of a Louisiana State Police trooper.
A visibly shaken and tearful West Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff Mike Cazes said at a news conference that the deputy was one of the first female deputies hired by the sheriff's office and had been there for 22 years.
The victims' names have not been released.
