Authorities say a Louisiana man whose brother's body was found underneath his truck has been arrested.
East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Casey Rayborn Hicks says the body of 32-year-old Kirk Hebert was found underneath 30-year-old Stephen Hebert's Dodge truck Tuesday. Stephen Hebert was discovered in a semi-conscious state on the driver's side of the still-running truck.
News outlets report that Stephen Hebert told police he last remembered dropping off his co-worker and being woken by police. He said he didn't know how his brother had gotten underneath his vehicle.
According to an arrest report, Stephen Hebert said that he had used heroin and drank two shots of whiskey before the incident.
He was charged with DWI and negligent homicide. It's unclear if he has a lawyer.
