A University of Louisiana Monroe student has been arrested by the ULM Police Department in connection with allegations of raping a fellow student. Samuel Alan Hudgens, an 18 year old student from Pollock, was arrested after a female ULM student went to authorities.
The female told police that Hudgens raped her in his dorm room on campus. She went to police on November 17 and said the incident occurred on August 19. The victim claims she was watching a movie with Hudgens when he started kissing her. She claims Hudgens began to undress and forced off her pants. The victim told police she pulled her pants back up and advised Hudgens there would be no sex between them. She accuses Hudgens of forcing her pants back off and having sex with her after telling him to stop 20 times. The victim said that she and Hudgens had been friends since high school.
The victim told police she notified her parents and school counselor. She told police Hudgens admitted to the act and asked her not to report the incident. She stated that she was coming to police because the alleged rape was causing her to have bad dreams and affecting her mentally.
Hudgens was arrested on Thursday afternoon and refused to give a statement to police. The police report states Hudgens was charged with Carnal Knowledge in Grant Parish and went through a diversion program.
