The National Weather Service in Shreveport has issued a Lake Wind
Advisory, which is in effect from 9 AM this morning to 6 PM CST
this evening.
A tight pressure gradient associated with surface high
pressure building into the region and a departing surface low
pressure system moving across the Plains and Middle Mississippi
Valley will produce Westerly winds of 15-25 MPH with higher
gusts to 25-35 MPH
A Lake Wind Advisory indicates that winds will cause rough chop
on area lakes. Small boats will be especially prone to taking on
water and capsizing.
