The water boil advisory is officially lifted for the City of Tallulah. Officials say regular consumption and use of water is now okay.

In mid January, officials put Tallulah under a boil advisory. They were experiencing a problem within their water supply and, because of those problems, the water produced by their water supply was of questionable microbiological quality.

Mayor of Tallulah, Paxton J. Branch said that the City of Tallulah is working to get everything back in order after their water crisis. He said that they were waiting for the water supply to reach full capacity before they start the flushing process. At this point, the city is at a place where they can confidently began flushing.

The flushing of the major water lines will begin Thursday, Feb. 18.
