Calhoun Man Allegedly Holds Woman Captive For Multiple Days

A Calhoun man has been arrested after allegedly holding a woman captive and assaulting her for several days. 

22-year-old Michael Vincent Vaughn was allegedly dragging a woman by the hair on Pink Street in Bawcomville according to arrest reports. 

Authorities say they found the woman with bruises and a broken tooth. 

She told deputies that Vaughn said that he would kill her and beat her with a baseball bat. 

The victim said that Vaughn accused her of cheating brought her to Danna Road to find a cell phone that Vaughn accused her of hiding. He then beat her repeatedly when no phone was found. She said that Vaughn then took her to Cheniere Lake and continued the beating. After that he took her to the Brownsville-Bawcomville area where she was able to scream and witnesses came to her aid. 

According to booking information, Vaughn was arrested on Dec. 4. He was booked in the Ouachita Correctional Center on charges of theft of a motor vehicle, domestic abuse battery strangulation, aggravated second degree battery and second degree kidnapping. His bond was listed at $300,000.00
