Strong to severe thunderstorms are expected to develop by Saturday afternoon across portions of southern Arkansas, north Louisiana, extreme eastern Texas. Damaging winds, large hail, and isolated tornadoes (some may be strong), are the main threats through mid-evening Saturday. Heavy rainfall and the threat for minor flooding of low lying, poor drainage areas are also possible given the already saturated grounds in place.
In Shreveport, Many, and Homer there is a high likely hood of strong winds, heavy rain, and even a possibility of a tornado. Wind gusts are expected to exceed 60 MPH, and hail size being the equivalent to a quarter or larger. Shreveport residents can expect a low probability of a tornado, but we will definitely see sever winds and hail.
