Citizens in these areas should bring water to a full, rolling boil, and then allow to boil for at least one minute before any kind of human or pet consumption. This includes drinking, brushing teeth, making ice, cooking, rinsing foods. It is essential to boil for at least 60 seconds to fully disinfect the water.
