Lafayette Parish sheriff's deputies have arrested an Acadiana High School algebra teacher on a charge of felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile.
John Mowell with the Lafayette Parish Sheriff's Office tells local media outlets deputies arrested 29-year-old Matthew Reon Tuesday morning at his home in Duson (DOO'sahn).
According to an affidavit for his arrest, Reon had an outstanding warrant that was signed by Judge Thomas Duplantier (doo-PLAHN'-chay) on Aug. 8.
He is being held on a $25,000 bond.
Deputies have refused to discuss details of the arrest.
They say the case remains under investigation.
