Free Flu Vaccine Available to Veterans

Overton Brooks VA Medical Center, including the VA Outpatient Clinics in Monroe, Louisiana; Texarkana, Arkansas; and Longview, Texas will offer flu shots to enrolled Veterans during scheduled clinic appointments and in special walk-in flu shot clinics as outlined below.  There is no charge for the flu shot and Veterans are reminded to bring their VA identification card.

 

Overton Brooks VAMC (Shreveport) Walk-in Flu Clinic (no appointment needed)

Every Wednesday - October 3 to November 14 from 1-3 p.m.

Check-in at the 1South4 Reception Desk at the front entrance of the south wing.

 

Longview CBOCWalk-in Flu Clinic (no appointment needed)

Every Wednesday – October 3 to December 12 from 1-3 p.m.

 

Monroe CBOCWalk-in Flu Clinic (no appointment needed, with the exception of November 21stEvery Wednesday - October 3 to December 19 from 1-3 p.m.

 

Texarkana CBOCWalk-in Flu Clinic (no appointment needed)

Every Wednesday - October 3 to December 19 from 1-3 p.m.

 

Drive Thru Flu Shot Clinic (Main Facility Front Circle)

October 6 or October 13 from 8 a.m.-Noon

 

Veterans at the main Shreveport Campus are also welcome to report to their assigned Primary Care Clinic as a Walk-In visit and receive the flu vaccine.  Veterans from the Community Based Outpatient Primary Care Clinics may report to any Primary Care Clinic at the main campus and receive a flu vaccine.  Enrolled VA Veterans may also contact their local participating Walgreens Pharmacy for a free Veteran flu shot with group plan of VAFlu and their VA ID.
