A Louisiana man convicted of murdering a woman who went to his home to provide a massage has been sentenced to life without parole.
Media outlets report a judge sentenced 26-year-old Chris Landry to prison Monday for the slaying last year of 24-year-old Kayla Denham. Denham was a college student.
Livingston Parish jurors convicted Landry of second-degree murder in her death last month. Prosecutors say Landry killed Denham after hiring her for a paid, sensual massage.
Prosecutors say Denham was repeatedly beaten in the head with a club before Landry strangled her. Her body was found in a backyard shed hours later.
The victim's mother, Amy Lewis, told Landry she hopes he's haunted by the killing the rest of his life. Landry didn't speak during the hearing.
