The Louisiana Master Naturalists ( Northeast Chapter) is hosting a bird observation hike Saturday, May 14th. Participating hikers will check out a few easy trails to see what bird species are about. It is spring migration so there may be some interesting warblers. We can also expect resident and summer birds.
This event is open to the public. Participants should plan to meet on the porch of the visitor’s center at 7 am. The Louisiana Master Naturalists encourage hikers to bring binoculars, snacks, water, comfortable shoes, and insect repellent. Field guides and cameras are also encouraged.
