Constitutional Amendments with PAR Director Steven Procopio

On March 29, Louisiana voters will be asked to vote on four constitutional amendments. Dr. Steven Procopio, President of the Public Affairs Research Council of Louisiana joins Bayou to Beltway host Pearson Cross to discuss the pros and cons of the proposed amendments and what they mean for Louisiana's future. One amendment in particular, Amendment 2, has garnered a great deal of attention for its changes to Louisiana's tax structure and Article 7 of the Louisiana Constitution. Other amendments set which crimes can result in a juvenile being tried as an adult, the authority of the Supreme Court over lawyers, and how soon a judicial election needs to be held in the event of a vacancy.
