The Living Well Foundation is opening a new round of grant funding for healthcare access for the disadvantaged in northeast Louisiana.

Grants will be awarded in several areas related to health and healthcare, including promoting healthy lifestyles, improving access to healthcare, and addressing health needs of children.

Executive Director Alice Prophit says collaboration is a key metric for evaluating applications, "Funders are looking at how you collaborate with others to have a much larger impact and to have better programs."

Prophit says sustainability is also key, "We want to be able to help organizations to begin and develop larger programming. We want to know you have a model for large impact, sustainability, and ongoing success in expanding services."

The Living Well Foundation works to enhance the quality of life and health of the citizens of Ouachita Parish and the seven surrounding parishes and to assist in collaborative and innovative networking within the region.

More information about the Living Well Foundation can be found at its website.
