Hats and Horses Derby Party features juleps and fundraising for Delta

Louisiana Delta Community College hosts the annual "Hats and Horses" Kentucky Derby party on Saturday, May 6 at 4:30 p.m. at LDCC.

The party features live music by the ULM Jazz Ensemble, a silent auction, photo booth, live viewing of the derby, as well as games and prizes. The event features an elegant yet outrageous hat competition for the ladies and a best dressed award for the gentlemen and couples. Guests can also enjoy hors d'oeuvres and a mint julep bar.

This event helps raise money for educational opportunities and scholarships given to Louisiana Delta Community College students.

"The Foundation is the fundraising mechanism for the College, with 8 campuses in 11 parishes throughout northeast Louisiana," says Director of Institutional Advancement Frank Bennett. "It's going to be a great party!"

More information about Hats and Horses is available at Louisiana Delta Community College or by calling 318-34-9395.
