June Tunes live music series returns to Strauss with local opening acts for regional headliners

Strauss Theatre Center is bringing June Tunes back to Monroe for the second year. Beginning Saturday June 1st through June 29th enjoy five weekends of live music featuring ten acts with an emphasis on local art.

The Strauss singer songwriter series is an intimate musical experience combing both music and visual art with a focus on all things local. Due to the generosity of a grant from the Jazz and Heritage Foundation a 45-minuite opener has been added to each show this year.

Kelsea McCrary and Danielle Kelly-Tollbird of Strauss Theatre said, " we learned last year that our community is hungry for live music. There is noting like it anywhere in town. We have some local clubs and bars that do a really lively show, but we don't have anything that creates an intimate listening experience. To walk in and sit down and really experience an artist and their craft is really special."

Tickets are available now for individual concerts or a package deal to attend all five concerts. For ticket prices or more information about June Tunes visit strausstc.com.
