Ouachita Live presents the Taylor Made Band Friday, October 25

Ouachita Live presents the Taylor Made Band Friday October 25 7-9 p.m. in alley Park in downtown West Monroe.

Ouachita Live is a monthly concert series that happens the last Friday of the month from March through October.

Closing the 2024 Ouachita Live season, Mr. TaylorMade and the TaylorMade Band are set to take the stage at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis after winning the Ouachita River Blues Society’s Blues Challenge.

Led by award-winning musician Mark Taylor, the band blends funk, soul, pop, and blues, showcasing a vibrant sound that honors the legacy of Taylor’s grandfather, Henry Dorsey, a key figure in the Delta blues scene in north Louisiana.

Mark Taylor, who has played on behalf of the Louisiana Grammy Association, has developed a unique musical style characterized by hard-hitting melodies and tight rhythms. The band has a rich history, having performed at the Smithsonian and keeping the Delta blues alive for decades.

Fans can expect an unforgettable performance as the band represents Louisiana on a national stage, bringing their energetic sound and deep-rooted musical heritage to Memphis.

The event is free, but donations are encouraged, and attendees are ask to bring a chair.
