MONROE, La. (November 19, 2024) — The Northeast Louisiana Delta African American Heritage Museum hosted the "I Found My Thrill" exhibit on Tuesday evening, celebrating the collaboration and friendship between two legendary musicians, Fats Domino and Dave Bartholomew.
Presented in partnership with The New Orleans Jazz Museum and The Louisiana Music and Heritage Experience, the exhibit featured a variety of artifacts, displays, and videos that highlighted the influential partnership between Domino, the rock and roll pioneer, and Bartholomew, the iconic trumpet player and arranger. Their collaboration played a key role in shaping New Orleans rhythm and blues, influencing generations of musicians.
The event, which took place from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., drew a diverse crowd of attendees who explored the cultural impact of the duo’s music. The exhibit provided visitors with an in-depth look at their lasting influence on both the New Orleans music scene and the broader history of American music.
