Masur Museum hosts annual Off the Wall fundraiser

Masur Museum will hold their 16th Annual Off the Wall fundraiser on Friday, April 11 from 6-9pm. The art auction features premier and exclusive art pieces from our area and across the country.

The event entails delicious food, an extended bar, and live music. Cary Hudson, a member of the band Blue Mountain, will be performing at the fundraiser.

Masur has received 138 donated works of art for the fundraiser. All pieces of art will be showcased on the wall inside the museum, hence the name of the fundraiser. Once the event begins, the silent auction will take place on an auction website.

Even if you are unable to make it to the museum, you can still bid on art pieces at https://www.32auctions.com/otw2025. The website displays live bids of the auction, as well as close-up images of the art pieces. If you don't attend the event but still bid on art works, shipping is available, so you are able to receive your art pieces.

Evelyn Stewart, the director of Masur Museum, talks about how admired the fundraiser has become in the community. When talking about the impact of Off the Wall she says, "It's been a very popular event for 16 years, it's our most important fundraiser of the year."

She also details what this event could mean for supporters of the museum, frequent visitors of the museum, and fans of art. "If you want to see quality exhibitions and good education programs... get a ticket for the event and come out and have a really fun night."

Tickets for the fundraiser can be purchased online, as well as at the door. Members of the museum receive a discount on tickets, along with discounts on future events. All proceeds from Off the Wall will help to support exhibitions and educational programs at the museum.

Although the auction will take place inside the museum, the festivities will be outside. If weather becomes a conflict, accommodations will be made so the community can still enjoy the party.

Masur Museum is renowned for its permanent art collection and exhibits. The museum's rich history in collecting and preserving art helps to promote artists across the country, and to influence future generations. Along with the Off the Wall fundraiser, the museum holds various events such as their 62nd Juried Competition, a paper machete class, Party 318, and so many more.
