Monroe Symphony presents Lagniappe Music Series

The Monroe Symphony Orchestra will host their final concert of the Lagniappe Chamber Music Series. The title of the concert is "Brahms' Quintet & Beyond," and will feature a string quartet along with a pianist.

The musical performers consist of pianist Diana Thacher, alongside violinists Martin Szlubowska and Samantha Matherne Parker. Violist Benjamin Thacher and cellist Paul Christopher complete the quartet.

The concert is Friday, April 11 at 7 p.m. at Biedenharn Recital Hall on ULM's campus.

Dr. Melvin Mobley, a professor of music at ULM, talks about how the Lagniappe Chamber Music Series engages with the public. "It introduces smaller groups of musicians to the community," Mobley states. "It gives both the community and symphony a chance to interact in a new and different way."

Tickets for the concert will be sold at the door, with a general admission price of $20. Students with an ID will gain free access to the concert.
